there’s a charming new cookbook out for kids and i just happen to live next door to its author — illustrator and activist for a new generation of healthy kids, ruby roth of we don’t eat animals. ruby’s written a new plant-based cookbook teaching kids how to cook all kinds of healthy food options — for themselves: the help yourself cookbook for kids is designed to get all kids into the kitchen to chop, sprinkle, mix, mash, and roll their way into healthy eating habits. lily and i popped over to ruby’s cute kitchen and photographed her putting together a few of these recipes — which looked fun, easy and delicious — and are definitely for grownups, too.
the help yourself cookbook for kids hits shelves on april 5, but it’s available for pre-order with some fun bonuses included: Coloring pages; 10 Foolproof Tips to Get Kids on Board with Healthy Eating; and 3 Full-color Bonus Recipes! Complementing her degrees in art and American Studies, Ruby has researched animal agriculture, health, nutrition, and the benefits of a plant-based diet for over a decade. take a peek at the video trailer for the book and get inspired to share this fun cookbook with your kids.
